The first DAFEUS week took place from 30 October 2018 to 2 November 2018 at the Université de Montréal. Against the backdrop of the current debate on the future of the EU, the policy lab and the conference threw light on the current political developments and academic debates. By comparing the EU to Canada, the question of how the EU can be made more democratic, more effective and more efficient was explored.
